The terminal is able to carry out precise blending from different coal pads within the stockpile areas. This is more commonly carried out during outloading where coal is reclaimed from two or more different pads with the reclaim rate from each reclaim pit being controlled by gates to give precise blending ratios as coal is fed on to the outloading system.

Blended coal can also be re-circulated back into dedicated stockpiles through a bypass system which allows the outloading conveyors to feed onto the inloading system.
