The terminal commenced operations in 1997 and since then annual coal throughput has increased steadily to nearly 10 million tonnes today with users including some of Indonesia’s largest coal producers. Todate IBT has shipped nearly 60 million tonnes of coal to global markets including : Spain, Taiwan, USA, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, UK, Italy and many more

To ensure an efficient and reliable service to customers, operations are carried out 24 hours per day, 7 days per week and 360 days per year, except for the following official Indonesian holidays:

Idul Fitri 2 days	(nominated each year)
Idul Adha 1 day	(nominated each year)
Independence Day	17th August
New Year’s Day	1st January
